Hi All,
It was a great Missions Trip last week. God did great things as we put on a VBS for a Church in Beulah. We had 44 Children and 9 on them excepted Jesus Christ.
We also did a service project one afternoon. We cleaned storefront windows, bathrooms, weeded flowerbeds, pulled weeds that were along the sides of stores. It was amazing that just by serving others what an impact that had on lives and for the Kingdom.
I do hope all is going well with each of you.
Winston Church Hill, Prime Minister of England during W.W.II "There comes a special moment in everyone's life, a moment for which that person was born. That special opportunity, When he seizes it, Will fulfill his mission, a mission for which he is uniquely qualified. In that moment, he finds greatness. It is his finest hour."
Read Esther 4:13 -14
Esther has become queen. Most thought it was purely due to her physical beauty -- but Mordecai points out that it may have been due to reasons far more divine.
Verse 14 "And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"
Mordecai was saying, she hadn't wound up there by chance.
Our finest hour come when God's providence meets with our own preparation. Most of life is a steady, consistent preparation and cultivation for our finest hour - - that season for which we are to make our significant contribution to this world.
Esther learned these four lessons...
1. If I don't step out and obey... My fate will not be like anyone else.
The "crowd" or majority not only fears taking risk to rise to their finest hour, but they some how bought into the notion that they don't have to; that they are a special case and that they won't have to suffer the same fate as others for complacency and apathy. Unfortunately, when we choose to drift -- we seldom reach our destination.
2. If I don't step out and obey... God can get someone else.
Bob Richard's, a two time gold medallist in the pole vault once said: "There are many people who could be Olympic champions, All-Americans, who have never tried. I'd estimate five million people could have beaten me in the pole vault the years I won it; at least five million. Men that are stronger, bigger, and faster than I was could have done it, but they never picked up a pole, never made the feeble effort to pick their legs off the ground trying to get over the bar."
3. If I don't step out and obey... I may lose more than an opportunity.
Don't be caught napping!
4. If I don't step out and obey... I could miss my God given purpose and mission.
We've each been created for a divine purpose. This purpose fits into God's overall scheme for the world; we are a piece of the providential puzzle. We have a role to play, a mission to fulfill. The resources have been placed inside of us to be discovered, developed and distributed. But we have no guarantee of automatically finding them. In Matthew 25, we read about a servant who "buried his talent" and never discovered what God had planned for him. He never experienced his finest hour.
Read Ephesians 5:15-17:
"Look carefully when you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise -- sensible, intelligent people; making the very most of the time -- buying up each opportunity -- because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is."
Here are seven ways that Tim Elmore share on how we prepare for our finest hour.
Again what is your thought on this?
Do you think God has a special purpose for you?
If so, are you letting God prepare you each day?
God is Good All The Time!
"He Must become greater, I must become Less"
