Next John 3:30 Letters

Dear All,

Know that I think about you guys often and know that you are in my prayers. Keep pressing on toward Him who loves you very much. God Is Good - All The Time!!!!!!! =)

"FOLLOW ME" - DOESN'T ALWAYS TELL US WHERE

They wanted Him to spell it out. But He spoke for those who had ears to hear. They wanted to pin Him down. But He frustrated them. He always said the wrong thing. He didn't stop to explain Himself. Instead, He walked away and tossed a couple of parting Words over His shoulder. "FOLLOW ME."

Remember the rich young ruler? "What must I do to have eternal life?" Show me the rock on which I can plant my fragile self and stand forever. And he went away very sad, for he discovered he'd already found his absolute, and He wasn't willing to make that trade.

Oh, for a glimpse of the Eternal! It consumes us when we're young. We become suddenly conscious of our longings and death and those who have been emptied of longing and so died while they lived. So we search...

For a while. And we end often gasping on the shore of some man-made permanence with the declaration that we've finally arrived. We make ourselves believe the place we stopped searching was our destination all along. We grow tired of change.

But for those foolish or desperate enough to keep listening, two words echo unchanged. "FOLLOW ME." No explanation offered, just the choice - all over again - to leave security behind or to say put and lose everything.

And so, exhausted, we help each other to our feet. We shake off the dust of a place that wasn't our destination after all. And we're not as tired as we'd made ourselves to believe. The search goes on and so do we, renewed in the knowledge that the path to the Eternal is opened by an unwavering commitment to change.

Hebrews 11:13-16
All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country -- a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

Look At Your Own Spiritual Life:

  1. From a scale 1 to 10 -- 10 being the highest point you have been at one time in your spiritual life. Looking at that, where do you place yourself?
  2. Are you satisfied where you are at in your spiritual life?
  3. Do you hear the words that Jesus spoke 2,000 years ago - "Follow Me"
  4. Does The Eternal consume you?

You are loved. Please write back on your thoughts.
Keep pressing on toward Him who loves you very much.
